POSITION SUMMARY Plans and schedules refinery turnarounds and unit shutdowns. Prepares cost and resource estimates and develops schedules ensuring work is planned safely, efficiently and effectively. Coordinates activities during execution phase of turnarounds. Provides accurate and timely reporting of turnaround safety, schedule, cost and other performance metrics. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT • High School Diploma or GED required • Bachelor’s degree preferred EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • 10+ years petrochemical maintenance planning and/or craft maintenance supervision • Successful experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines • Proficient with MS Office Suite to include Work, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint • Experience working with Microsoft Project, SAP and Primavera desired • Experience working across functions through communication and collaboration MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES • Coordinates with multiple refinery functions (operations, inspection, engineering, capital projects, reliability, etc.) to ensure complete understanding of work scope to be executed during turnaround. Participates in scope reviews. Develops and modifies detailed turnaround work scopes and resource estimates. Develops and maintains schedules utilizing planning /scheduling software. • Creates work order packages containing detailed instructions for craftsperson to perform work. Ensures work orders have been thoroughly planned before issuance for execution and contain, depending on job scope and complexity, requisite elements such as, but not limited to, drawings, schematics, piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), Safety Risk Matrix and or JSA, safety data sheet (SDS), Management of Change package, work or repair history, material list, permits, hot work preplan, etc. • Collaborates with Procurement on sourcing/staging of materials for turnarounds and assists with development of contracting strategies and issuance/management of turnaround-related contracts. • Serves in T/A Coordinator role during execution phase of T/A, directing daily work to meet T/A execution goals. • Provides accurate and timely reporting of turnaround safety, schedule, cost, and other performance metrics. Monitors progress and resource usage for adherence to plan during execution. Coordinates with management on issues impacting turnaround activities such as resource adjustments, work schedules, and critical paths. Recommends corrective actions to increase productivity and reduce costs while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental procedures. • May, as assigned, coordinate field execution of major maintenance or special projects. • Maintains turnaround documentation. • Other duties as required. Must be able to reach overhead, squat, kneel, climb and grasp. Must be able to lift light, medium, and heavy objects. Must have 20/40 vision or better, have depth perception, full field, and able to distinguish colors as required in order to weld and perform other duties. While main duties involve welding and torqueing activities, person may be requested to perform other duties, such as assisting in mechanical repairs, performing insulating work, painting, and other duties as required. WORK ENVIRONMENT Full-time Works 9 hour shifts, on a 9/80 schedule. Safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hard hats, Nomex, and respirator used when necessary. Must be available on-call as needed. Work schedule requires extended hours including nights and weekends as needed.
