The Requirements
To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Sr. System Engineer opportunity, you will have:- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as computer science or computer engineering; advance degree preferred. Oil and Gas industry experience a plus.
- VCP (VMware) Required
- Minimum of 5 years configuring and managing VMWare Virtualization Platforms
- Minimum of 8 years designing, configuring and managing Microsoft Server Platforms and services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc
- Strong working knowledge and hands on experience with architecture, implementing and managing Cloud Compute platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Provide subject matter knowledge and expertise on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS Cloud
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Azure and managing advanced cloud resources
- Knowledge and experience with cloud-based architectures and delivery models
- Exchange 2016 and Office365
- Skype/OneDrive for Business and Teams
- Storage/Cloud Storage

The Role
Opportunity OverviewYou will work with and take direction from the IT Manager, and serve as the subject matter expert for architecture, building, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting Par enterprise systems. You'll also provide operational support for the Par Pacific infrastructure. This will include:
- Design solutions on VMware vCenter/ESXi based on business requirements and VMware best practices
- Expert level knowledge of VMware, Exchange, backup and storage (Nimble, EMC, Hitachi)
- Expert level knowledge of Citrix 6.X/7.X, Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016 and Active Directory administration.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining complex, multi-farm Citrix environments. Core technologies used include XenApp, XenDesktop, Citrix Provisioning Services, Citrix Access Gateways and Citrix Netscalers.
- The position will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of mission-critical services deployed using the above solutions
- General cloud PaaS/IaaS integrations spanning multiple projects and timelines.
- Migrating privately hosted and on-premises services to Microsoft Azure or VMWare ESXi
- Knowledge of Cisco, HP, Dell hardware a plus.
- Provision, install, test, support, and maintain hardware and software for server systems.
- Automating and performing Infrastructure tasks using industry standard products.
- This position also requires excellent written and oral communication skills. The person should be able to work independently with minimum supervision and assistance and able to adjust priorities as needed and meet deadlines.
