The Requirements
To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Accounts Payable Lead opportunity, you will have:- A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
- Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- 2 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience working in the downstream petroleum industry preferred.
- Experience in SAP preferred.
- Must have strong analytical and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form
The Role
You will report to the Pipeline and Terminal Supervisor in Hawaii and have a dotted-line relationship with leaders in Honolulu.This Position provides accounting analytical support for the tracking of petroleum product movements across Par Hawaii’s statewide logistics and distribution system. The work involves compiling, posting and reconciling inventory data, as well as the preparation of reports for management decision making. This position interacts with a wide range of team members, including product schedulers and marketers, operations, contracts administration and accounts receivable and payable.
- Track and book petroleum product movements across Par Hawaii distribution system which includes pipelines, barges, storage terminals and trucking.
- Assist in monitoring and investigating inventory gains and losses across distribution system.
- Prepare accurate and timely inventory and financial reports for Par Hawaii management and other internal stakeholders.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports to governmental agencies.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and assist in expense tracking and invoice processing.
- Support barge and pipeline scheduling, and marine sales team, in scheduling product movements and in executing sales of marine fuels.
- Provide administrative support to group leadership on a limited basis.
