Position Title: HR Business Partner

POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist position works in collaboration with the assigned HR department and leadership to ensure organizational goals are aligned and achieved. Under direction of HR leaders is responsible for implementing HR strategies that support the goals of the organization. These strategies are related to talent acquisition; employee engagement; benefits and payroll administration; and other generalist functions. This position leads through influence, with all levels of the workforce to ensure processes are followed and good faith efforts are achieved. It understand and apply principles, concepts, practices and theories to achieve competency in assigned areas. This position actively develops others to maximize skill sets and exceed business.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent required. HR Certification (SPHR or PHR) is desired.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • A broad Human Resources background equivalent to what would be developed over three (3) or more years of human resources experience. • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with organizational leaders. • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. • Demonstrated competence in recruiting and placement for various level positions. • Knowledge of professional guidelines in selection procedures, EEO and affirmative action compliance requirements, as well as labor standards and labor relations principals. •Ability to be forward thinking and strategic with respect to HR processes and systems, creating a climate for change. •Ability to influence in the organization to affect change. •Understanding of basic principles of compensation theory. •Payroll and benefit knowledge required, previous day-to-day experience strongly preferred •Demonstrated organization and planning skills. •Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, insight into group dynamics, high tolerance for ambiguity and change, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. •Self-directed, flexible and able to prioritize work. •Thorough knowledge of federal and state laws in employment, benefits administration and human resource principles and practice. •Proficient with MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: •Assist in developing facility programs, and activities that enhance employee engagement and positive employee relations. •Develop and execute effective full life-cycle recruiting, using progressive recruiting strategies and staffing practices. •Responsible in creating/maintaining various HR documents and communications. •Manage onboarding and off-boarding process. •Facilitating and/or participating in cross functional groups to develop key initiatives to improve organizational performance. •Adopt, participate and comply with company policies, procedures and safety programs. •Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly and professionally. •Performs other duties as assigned.
