POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
 
The PDI support specialist serves as the liaison on applications between the retail operations team, the accounting team, and IT. The specialist will be the subject matter expert of PDI Enterprise and all ancillary software applications. The specialist will be responsible for administering PDI while ensuring that we are fully utilizing the software from a functional perspective as well as creating efficiencies thru automation. The specialist should have great communication, analytical skills, and financial asumen to align the application with ongoing business processes and other initiatives. A basic understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and IT Service Management processes is required to be successful in this role. This role requires a self-motivated, independent individual with a solid background in retail operations and accounting.
 
 
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field or comparable work experience required
 
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
 
  • 3-5 years of business analysis experience
  • 3-5 years of in depth accounting knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 5-7 years administering PDI Enterprise
  • Able to communicate effectively with both business partners and other IT professionals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a diverse team
  • Ability to manage or work on multiple projects and tasks at one time
 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
  • Conduct cost and efficiency optimization research and planning
  • Develop opinions/recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Ensure accuracy of data and analyses presented
  • Remain up to date with PDI’s newest software modules and technology
  • Conduct analyses and desk research (Secondary research) in support of project deliverables
  • Conduct Primary research and follow up with solutions
  • Performs testing to ensure systems meet documented user requirements
  • Works closely with the team, and reports clearly and accurately to management
  • Assist with Pricebook issues as required
  • Support all PDI softwares
  • Prepares and provides project status and risk assessments to their manager with appropriate levels of detail to ensure that programs stay on schedule
  • Partner with retail, accounting, and IT on assigned projects to identify solutions to business problems
  • Assists with PDI software and accounting troubleshooting and issue resolution using a variety of tools and technologies, including basic SQL
  • Provides remote support and maintenance functions
  • Researches complex technical issues and resolves non-business-critical issues with minimal support
  • Performs software installs and upgrades (sometimes after-hours)
  • Mentors other team members to address and resolve operational concerns in a timely manner and escalate issues with an appropriate sense of urgency
