More Good Reasons
Employee Value PropositionPar Pacific is a growing energy company that provides more opportunity and career growth potential because of our ambition, entrepreneurial mindset, our premier market position, and our integrated business systems.
Working at Par Pacific is different. Because Par is a smaller energy company, employees have the opportunity to make a great impact on the business and to influence decisions. People truly have amazing careers at Par because they are exposed to all areas of the company and are connected to many of the industry experts. This is particularly true in Procurement because you will directly interact with key players throughout our business.
Excellent Compensation
In addition to a competitive salary and bonus opportunity, we offer a strong comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance; life and AD&D insurance; a 401(k) with company match; a robust paid-time-off and vacation benefit, retirement savings plans; employee assistance programs; gym membership allowance, and more.

This is a role with wide internal and external influence, with the ability to impact multiple functions and our bottom line. It's a role where you can bring your strong ideas to the table and make a difference. And, because of the scope reach and exposure in the position, you can take your skills and ultimately career to the next level.
Unique Culture
There is nothing ordinary about Par Pacific – an unorthodox niche player in the energy space that drives operations from production-to-delivery. And there’s certainly nothing ordinary about Par Pacific people. If you’re at Par, you’re a driven, creative-thinking, hardworking, entrepreneur-minded professional that loves to win. If that describes you, you'll fit right in!

Keys to Success
This is an interesting, multifaceted role in a fast-moving environment. You’ll need to be able to effectively balance multiple priorities and responsibilities, both corporate and local, never dropping any balls. Naturally, you'll be judged by quantifiable KPIs, but you'll also be judged on your soft skills and ability to manage teams and tasks while others are away. Of course, you won't work in a silo. As you'll support others when they are away, you'll also enjoy strong support. For example, if you're working on a mainland project and your responsibilities in Hawaii flex, your manager will pick up the slack on the corporate project.Because your supervisor is on the Mainland, you’ll need to be able to own your role and work independently while also being a strong communicator. Success will require a talented procurement professional who is a highly motivated self-starter with strong business acumen and the ability to build collaborative relationships. We're also looking for someone with the strategic vision to see the big picture while also tracking critical details.
Additionally, you will need:
- The ability to work effectively with stakeholders from senior leadership to technicians to suppliers.
- The disposition to remain calm and think clearly under pressure; professional maturity.
- Skill in directing others; setting objectives, giving clear instructions, motivating and influencing.
- Outstanding planning abilities; the skill to accurately scope the length and difficulty of projects and tasks, set schedules, anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks; measure performance against goals and create clear KPIs.
- Experience and skill managing through systems; designing best practices; trusting systems to work effectively.
