The qualified candidate for this position will be responsible for installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all types of electrical equipment and electronic instrumentation devices used in the petroleum refining process. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, pumps, motors, automated control valves, actuators, meters, pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, temperature measurement transmitters and gas monitoring, and gas analysis equipment.  
This position will provide an opportunity for those with experience in the I&E field who have demonstrated leadership potential and who aspire to develop their professional skills and advance in their career field.  The position will require project management and team leadership skills   The ideal candidate will have demonstrated a potential for leadership and increased responsibility, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a desire to improve the department and the organization.
The Project I&E technician will work side by side with an apprentice and other department members to complete outstanding work orders, along with maintenance and improvement projects as assigned.  A secondary responsibility will be to provide leadership, mentorship and assist with the training and development of the skills and abilities of the up and coming team members in the I&E department.  
Other operational responsibilities will include taking measurements, calibrating equipment, line locating, regulatory equipment inspections, conduit and electrical distribution systems installation and repair.  High Voltage distribution system inspection and repair and Low voltage Distributed Control System troubleshooting and maintenance.   Compliance documentation responsibilities will require basic computer skills.   Works with little supervision within an industrial plant environment in various weather and environmental conditions.  Is willing and able to work scheduled 8 hour shifts M-F, to include nights weekends and holidays, and available to work overtime and be on call as required for emergencies and scheduled plant shutdowns.
